  • your notes should describe TWO LEVEL 3 to LEVEL 4 SUCCESS CRITERIA for the Ecozone Model Challenge Assignment (due Oct. 31).
  • Remember, your SUCCESS CRITERIA should identify two requirements that a final model and description will fulfill in order to achieve Level 3 or higher
EXAMPLES:  Neatly and Accurately Labelled, Clearly depicts and describes all required elements, etc.

BESA AND PAUL PRESENTATION
Thanks to our guests, Besa Abuse and Paul Wellhauser who visited DCVI today and shared their stories about the San and other Southern African Cultures.  Along with information about the issues and challenges that indigenous communities in this part of the world face, Paul and Besa discussed many of the positive initiatives they are involved in which help support awareness, education, environmental stewardship, clean water projects, and the conservation of language, culture and traditions.

Ecological Footprints:

1. Consult at least two sources and then write your own definition of "Ecological Footprint" in your notes. REMEMBER TO NAME YOUR SOURCES (use EasyBib if you like!)

2. Calculate your Ecological Footprint at: Ecological Footprint Calculator

3. Copy the information from your results into your notes under title:  "My Ecological Footprint"

4. Compare your results with those of the USA and India.  Record your observations

5. Click on "What about Population?" - What do you notice in the graph (at least one observation)?


6. According to this page, what is the world's population at this instant?

7. Click on "How Many Earths".  From this page, select at least three key pieces of information and record in your notes.

8. When finished, hand in answers and continue working on your Travel Blog (completing tasks or enhancing the appearance of your blog).
